Mainstream printing methods

With the rapid development of modern technology, all industries are connected with each other, and the same is true of screen printing. Before clarifying the advantages of screen printing in design printing, it is necessary to understand the connection and difference between screen printing and other printing methods. First, a brief introduction to the main printing methods:
1. Letterpress printing

Letterpress printing, referred to as letterpress printing, is one of the four major modern mainstream printing processes – -. It is printed using a printing plate with a raised graphic part. When printing, the graphic part is covered with ink, then covered with paper, and pressure is applied, and the ink is transferred from the printing plate to the paper. Letterpress is one of the oldest printing methods with the longest history, and has continued to evolve and improve over time. The most primitive embossing method originated in the Tang Dynasty in China, when the engraving printing technology was invented. The text or image was engraved on the wooden board to make the graphic part protrude, and then the ink was applied, and the paper was stamped for printing. The development to modern times is flexographic letterpress printing, which is mostly used for newspapers, books, packaging, carton printing, wrapping paper printing, plastic printing, napkin printing, etc. Letterpress printing has a full thickness of ink layer, which makes the printing effect of the product rich in layers and bright in color. Its eye-catching color printing effect cannot be achieved by offset printing, and the final printing effect is convex.
Plate printing can not only achieve high-definition printing, but also achieve the soft color achieved by offset printing, and even achieve the characteristics of thick gravure ink layer and high gloss. It can be said that letterpress printing has the characteristics of many printing methods. Advantage.
2.Gravure printing

Gravure printing is abbreviated as “gravure printing”, which is a plate-making technology that makes the image and text part concave from the surface of the printing plate. The printing principle is to make the image and text of the printing plate lower than the blank part, and directly imprint the ink contained in the intaglio on the substrate. The deeper the pit is, the more ink can be filled, and the ink layer left on the substrate after imprinting is thicker; on the contrary, if the pit is shallow, the amount of ink that can be filled is less, and the substrate after imprinting is printed. The ink layer left on it is thinner. During printing, the ink is filled into the pits, the ink on the surface of the printing plate is scraped off with a squeegee, and there is a certain pressure contact between the printing plate and the substrate, so that only the ink left in the concave part is transferred to the substrate. , to complete the printing. The printed product is delicate and thick. The structure of the layout is similar to the rubbing stone in ancient my country, except that the inking part is just the opposite of the rubbing stone, which is easy to identify and difficult to imitate. Equivalent securities.
The gravure printing plate mostly uses copper plate or zinc plate as the surface of the engraving plate, and the concave part can be used.
