Our standard screens are aluminium framed, as it provides the durability and longevity needed when printing large runs. Also, when exposing frames to water in a dip tank or washout booth aluminum frames will not warp (unlike wooden frames) ensuring you keep flat frame and mesh. Aluminum frames can also be stretched and re-stretched many times, therefore making the process more cost effective.

If you are stuck on which mesh count to choose just remember; higher mesh count = higher detail. The higher the mesh count means the finer the threads and holes are in the screen. The size of the mesh has a lot to do with how detailed your image is and the viscosity of the ink.

60 Mesh - A Course mesh count for use with Glitter Inks.

86/90 Mesh - Recommended for printing opaque white/light colours onto dark fabric to allow maximum opacity.

110 Mesh - Recommended for general textile work, printing light on dark, dark on light.

125/160 Mesh - Recommended for general textile work but with some finer detail/line work.

180/200 Mesh - Textiles; smooth and light fabric, Half-Tone, General.

230/250 Mesh - Textiles; extremely light material, Graphics, General.

305/355 Mesh - Process work.
